Mid Autumn Festival

We took these photos in 3 different days.

This was taken in Bugis around the Guan Yin temple.

These were taken outside my parent's house while ZY was playing with her jiu jiu.

I didn't really want to take any photos of myself nowaday as I really look shagged and bloated. But our little girl requested a photo of the 3 of us..so I've got no choice lor.
(P.S. Pls ignore the half-naked man behind me as requested by the man himself ^_^  )

These were taken on the actual day where it was raining constantly at Sembawang. So we bought ZY around the void deck and carpark. Daddy bought her this Hello Kitty lantern as he says the demure kitten looks like ZY? ^_^"

Children's Day

Due to some work constraints, MW did not take leave today, hence we only had a cake cutting celebration for ZY today. He bought a Polar mini cake for ZY and all of us sang the Happy Children's Day song in tune to the "Happy Birthday" song. ^_^

We also bought a Disney Princess bed for ZY, er... maybe I should rephrase, we bought a Disney Princess bed for ZY's doll, Pecky, hehehe. The bed is so beautiful that ZY can't resist but asked whether she can try sleeping on it! (Maybe we really should buy a beautiful bed with flowing canopy for her?)

A Birthday Party

We were invited to Tracy's son, Aaron, two years old birthday yesterday.

This was the first time that ZY had step into Auntie Tracy's house but as expected, she was not shy at all and was able to entertain herself most of the time. ^_^  While presenting her gift to the birthday boy who had actually just woke up from his nap, ZY looked a bit "ke qi", but after mingling for a while, you would see her running around chasing after a ball as though she was playing in her own house!

After taking her dinner and having some play time, ZY started pestering me about eating the birthday cake. As you know, ZY is a bit obessed with birthday cake and the whole scene (singing the bday song, blowing the candles & cutting the cake) so she was really looking forward to the finale of the day...hiaz

Finally the long awaited  moment had arrived and the birthday cake was presented. As expected, ZY chose this minute to become 'suddenly' shy and cling to her daddy. Ever since we had attended a birthday party last year, I've noticed that ZY will become suddenly very clingy when it is time to sing the birthday song. Even though I know that she has anticipated for that moment to arrive, she will refuse to sing the birthday song or clap her hands like the others. Somtimes I really wonder why...

When we asked ZY whether she wanted to cut the cake, she shyly nodded her head. The other kids also started queuing up for their turns to 'mutilate' the pretty cake too!

15th week Pregnant

Visited the doctor last Sat for a routine check-up. I'm eager to see the doctor as I needed his 'ok' before proceeding to book our holiday to South Korea in October!

This is the scan taken on my 3rd visit to the doctor. The baby is now 8.9cm long. We can clearly see the baby bending one of his/her legs, which happens to be one of mummy's favourite sleeping pose! The doctor had tried to see if we were able to determine the sex of the baby, but guess it was just too early to confirm. ^_^

Homemade Pumpkin Cake

Recently, I've a craving for my mum's delicious pumpkin cake. And voila! A few days after I've mentioned my craving to my mum, I saw my mum busily preparing the ingredients at her kitchen. ^0^

All these goes into the batter and we have to steam it for 45 mins before it is ready to be eaten.

The end product - full of the flavours of minced pork, mushrooms and dried shrimps. Not to mentioned the natural sweetness of the pumpkin that we can't find in the normal carrot cake.

It has been quite sometimes since I've last tasted this, and it is still as yummy as I've remembered. Ummm...

Someone Has Granted ZY's Wish

ZY wishes that she will have a sibling to play with, someone to boss around and a baby for her to change diaper, feed the bottle...

YES! I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant and my EDD is expected to be 28 Feb/1 Mar 2010.

One of our reasons for having another child is because we do not want ZY to feel that she is all alone when we get older, and also she do not have to make all the decisions by herself should we become ill and frail. I've seen some of my friends who are the only child in the family having to take up the sole responsibility of taking care of their parents and not having a sibling to depend on emotionally and financially. I hope that ZY and the baby would benefit from having each other -- either now or later in life.

For the past couple of months, I've been staying at my parents' house (going back to my house only during the weekends) as I've have very bad morning sickness. Maybe I should say that I've very bad afternoon sickness because my nausea will start around 3 p.m. everyday without fail and last throughout the evening till I sleep. I can't stand the smell of cooking and hated any food with garlic in it. I also don't like to eat fish which I usually loved. I also get easily agitated and will flared up whenever ZY misbehaved. (Sorry dear, I know mommy should be more patient with you... your daddy has been constantly reminding me to cool down).

Anyway, so far I've been to 3 consultations @KKH Private Suite and this ultrasound scan is the latest with the fetus at 13week + 1 day old, measuring 6.97cm.

ZY always eagerly waits for us to come home from the hospital so that she can have a look at the baby's picture! ^_^ She can identify the body parts of the fetus very well!

We asked ZY if she thinks that the baby is a girl or boy but she always changes her answer to suit her mood at that moment. Sometimes she would say that she wanted a little brother while other times she said she wanted a little sister so that she can share her clothes with her. : D Well, one more month to go before we'll know!
