ZY & DY (Miscellaneous Photos)

ZY and DY loves to play with each other. Sometimes, I can even hear their laughter when I'm in the kitchen!

Nowaday, DY is always trying to flex his legs muscles.

A Fun-Filled Weekend

It has become our family tradition to go for short staycation at a local hotel around MW's birthday to celebrate the day. However, we had to postpone it to yesterday (3 weeks after MW's b'day) due to ZY's hospitalisation.
The clear blue sky was a real blessing, a far cry from the previous few days of thunder storm and persistant rains. We checked-in to Swissotel Merchant Court at 11.30a.m. so that we could put down our barang barang before heading out to Tampopo at Liang Court for lunch. I've seen many good reviews of Tampopo and they were now having an anniversary promotion of up to 50% discount for certain items. However, other than the Top Grade Black Pig Katsu Set that MW ordered which was tendy & juicy, the rest of the dishes were either too salty or too oily. Really disappointing..
After lunch, we went back to the hotel for a nap before heading to the pool. It took ZY sometime to fall asleep as she was just too excited!
DY simply loves the cool bedsheet and kept on rolling around, keeping us on an ultra alert mode.

Finally! Rest & Relaxation @ the pool!
This was DY's first dip in a swimming pool. Initially, he was a bit frightened but he quickly got used to the water and started splashing the water with both of his hands. So much so that his eyes became red from the chlorinated water.

After eating dinner in our hotel room, we headed downstair to join in the throngs of crowd with lanterns in hands bought by my father.

We also bought these Taiwan delicacies from the stalls. They were not bad but personally I think they were really not worth the queue and price. (4 items cost $20!)
I did not let DY swim in the water today as the water was a bit too cold. ZY, on the other hand, had a great time and played in the pool for so long that she is a bit too tanned now.

It's always great to have a short getaway. ZY really totally enjoyed herself and even get too excited at times. Can't imagine how will she behave when we go Genting end of the month! ^_^

Elmo, Big Bird, Sesame Street!

We bought ZY to the Sesame Street, "Elmo Grows Up" show at the Indoor Stadium today. It's a 11a.m. morning show and we reached there at about 10.45a.m.

The show did not start on time and only started at about 11.15a.m. It was a long 15 mins wait for the excited kids and ZY kept on asking me why the show has not started yet!

The moment the furry friends came out from behind the stage and began singing, ZY jumped out of her seat and started dancing! She will go back to her seat to rest and ate her snack while they were talking. The conversations between the furry friends does not interest her at all. ZY would even complained to me when the talking dragged for too long. ^_^"

I did not get my ideal seats (the 1st row) as SISTIC has moved forward the online booking date to 2 weeks earlier than the original announced date. I did not think of checking the date again until one week after the online booking started. Luckily, the 'gap' in between the row of seats allowed ZY to see the stage without much blockage. Have to take note the next time and be more kiasu! (check and re-check) hehehe..

At the end of the show, ZY told me that she loved watching the show and said that she wanted to see it again next time! Good! Money well spent! ^_^

Gallery Comes Alive!

We brought ZY and DY to the Alive Gallery @Downtown East yesterday. We also jio my brother along as he is just as interested in Art as me! ^_^

Talking with Mona Lisa; ZY's question to her is,"What's your name?"
After a short 30 minutes of walking around the tent, we had our lunch at Popeye. Thereafter, as promised, we went to the main hall of Downtown East to buy ticket for ZY to have her merry-go-round ride. (a precursor to our Genting trip ^_^)

It's MW's birthday today and we celebrated it at the 70th floor of Swissotel The Stamford, The Equinox Restaurant. We brought ZY along but left DY with my mummy as we wanted to fully enjoy ourselves with the wide spread of delicacies! ^_^

Hello there, I'm 6-Month Old Today!

Hello!! DY is 6 month old today!

I've started giving him some brown rice cereal plus Pao Shen & Si Shen Fen when he is 5 month plus as my breastmilk supply had drastically reduced due to stress while ZY was hospitalised. Although he rejected the cereal for the first few tries, he's now able to take half a bowl each time. I've also tried feeding him some milk formula by adding it to my breastmilk but he had diarrhea. Seems like I've to continue to breastfeed him exclusively for a few more months before trying to partially supplement with formula again.

DY is now able to roll over from both sides so I've to be extra careful when leaving him alone as he can move out of the mattress within seconds! A few days ago, he also started to "leap". He'll bend his knees as though he is starting a race and leap forward! It's so funny to see him doing that. ^_^

For the record, DY is now weighing 7.4kg and is 68cm tall.
