Started the day with simple homemade breakfast before venturing out again to the sledding field. ZY and I had a great night sleep on the comfy queen bed whereas MW and DY complained of the hard Korean-style mattress. I've called the front desk and they promptly sent us two additional mattress at no cost. Hee hee... should have thought of that yesterday!
The kids had another round of non-stop fun for almost 3 hour before they were willing to stop and have lunch. We had planned to go to the waterpark Ocean 700 this afternoon hence we only bought half day sledding pass.
We had our lunch at Lotteria, Korea equivalent of MacDonald.
As expected, the waterpark was not crowded at all. We went in at about 2 plus and came out at closing time around 6pm. The entrance fee for the 4 of us is about KRW100,000 after discount..not cheap at all and they even charge us for life vest which was compulsory if we wanted to play in the wavepool and river terrain pool. +_+
DY had a small accident, scratching himself at the wave pool. The lady medical staff was so patient with him as she reassured a super sensitive DY with Hangul plus loving hand gesture.
We love the outdoor area as the freezing air blew on our faces while heated water kept as warm! Too bad it didn't snow else it would had been a memorable experience...
We went in to the separated Sauna cum Hotspring section wearing our birthday suit. ZY was not embarrassed at all while I feel a little apprehensive but I quickly overcome any uneasiness after seeing so many women walking about comfortably and confidently. I had a great bonding session with ZY and I'm so happy to have a daughter which I can share this unique experience with.
We chose to have Japanese food in this tatami-style restaurant. The food tastes great and it cheap too compared to Singapore. We met a group of Singapore family who were here for vacation too. In fact, we saw many Singaporean and Malaysian in Alpensia. ^_^
After dinner, we walked to the sledding field and was surprised to see quite a few people building snowman. We also join in the fun and made a snowman for ourselves.
DY's Olaf
We made friends with these 11 years old and 8 years old Korean girls who were here for vacation too. They built this snowman by themselves with their parents and it quickly became the limelight of the place.
