Summer Hong Kong 2015 (LootS & Foods)

These were some of the food we had sampled during this trip. It was a good experience trying different types of cuisine. However, after trying wanton mee for a few days and way too much dim sum (ahem, those who went with us would know what I mean ^_^) ,  I would say I still prefer the diversity of Singaporean food anytime!

Shopping wise, unlike Taiwan and Bangkok, I did not manage to buy many things in Hong Kong mainly because their clothes are 'not my style'.

The Cake (ZY wishes To Have..)

ZY has a sweet tooth, just like her mummy. So when I asked her what type of cake she would like to have for her coming 6th birthday party in school, she told me firmly, "M&Ms!!"

So this is it, ZY's dream cake, I even added Kit Kat to bring the already sugar-loaded cake to another level. (I googled and found this cake pattern)

We went to the Rose Veranda at Shangri-la Hotel to celebrate my birthday last Friday. I always love to eat cakes and tarts so I thought I give this restuarant a try and act like a tai-tai for a day. ^_^

The nice rose motiff teapots and cups.

The "International" Spread, which I did not eat much...

Because I aiming for these!!!
ZY had a special order of Chicken Rice which was not in the buffet spread. My dad mentioned to the staff that there was not much food that ZY could eat so the staff took the initiative to offer us chicken rice and brought it to our table. That's what I call Service!! Thumbs up! ^_^

Had a filling and satisfying lunch and DY managed to fall alseep on the super comfy couch while we leisurely enjoyed our food. There is no better way to celebrate my birthday than with my loved ones.
