Okto Birthday Surprise (Zhi Yu)

I've uploaded ZhiYu's photo onto Okto FB page in January hoping that they will choose ZhiYu's photo and air in on TV.

And guess what? They really did! What a great way to celebrate ZhiYu's birthday this year. ^_^

I Can Swim!!

Zhi Yu started taking swimming lesson since last July and she is progressing quite well.

Today is ZhiYu's 8th birthday. However, since it's a Monday, we only went to Swenson for celebration.

An Adventure to Adventure Cove!!

To celebrate ZhiYu's 8th birthday tomorrow, we went to Adventure Cove at Zhiyu's request. We spent $83 for 2 Adults & 1 Child tickets after a 15% discount using NTUC Union Card. Din Yang admitted FOC since he is below 4 years old!

 

We reach the park at about 11 a.m and immediately changed into our swimming gears. There isn't a big crowd at this hour so all the queues were still manageable.

 

The longest queue being this Riptide Rocket Ride, taking MW about 30 mins to queue. According to Zhiyu' review, this is the most exciting ride of all.

They tried all the rides in the park and even took some rides several times.

The most memorable being this Rainbow Reef, where ZhiYu and MW tried snorkeling with 20,000 fishes!

 

 

We spent almost 7 hours in the water park! Overall, its a fun and great family bond for the family. ^_^

CNY 2014 Celebration in School

ZY celebrated CNY 2014 in her school today.

I Can Cycle on Two Wheels!!

We took off the small third wheel today and

Another milestone for Zhiyu!

Zhiyu's dance item is named "Ji Gen Yao" a traditional Korean dance choreographed by her Chinese teacher Mdm Luan.

ZhiYu's 6th Birthday Party (at school)

The day that ZY has been waiting for has finally arrived! My 6 years old girl has been telling me how she wants to celebrate in school, what party gifts to prepare and even the dress she wants to wear to school!

Since her wish is my command (ahem...at least on her birthday), I painstakingly hand-pumped 26 pieces of the balloon sticks (to be honest, ZY helped alot), make her dream cake (I took a shortcut by ordering a plain cake from Bengawan solo), and search high and low for a matching pokka dots dress.

So here it is..

As usual, we went to Swenson Restaurant for the complimentary birthday firehouse sundae. This is definitely a very sweet and colourful birthday celebration for my pretty and sweet-looking girl ^_^

The Cake (ZY wishes To Have..)

ZY has a sweet tooth, just like her mummy. So when I asked her what type of cake she would like to have for her coming 6th birthday party in school, she told me firmly, "M&Ms!!"

So this is it, ZY's dream cake, I even added Kit Kat to bring the already sugar-loaded cake to another level. (I googled and found this cake pattern)

For a Good Cause

This year, ZhiYu and I joined in the Boys' Bridgade annual SHARE-A-GIFT event. After some explanation to ZhiYu, she happily agreed to take out $20 from her bank account and used it to buy something useful at the supermarket.

We went to the NTUC supermarket at Simei for some grocery shopping as the Boys' Bridgade has a collection station placed there.

It's a good opportunity for me to teach ZhiYu the virtue of giving and sharing. She has a habit of wasting and it's a good time for me to explain to her that some others less fortunate people might not even have enough food to eat and their babies are mostly skinny and unhappy. Hope that ZhiYu knows that she is a very lucky girl and there are many less fortunate people around us. She will treasure and appreciate all that she has.

Play, Play and more Play

MW's sister managed to book her company's chalet for 3D2N and we happily packed our barang barang and headed off to the beach. We love this resort.. I love to come here as I do not have to worry about housework and clean up the mess the kids had made, MW loves it because he do not have to go to work, ZY loves it obviously since she can swim and play all she wants and DY loves it because he can climb up and down the spiral staircase!

My mum and brother came with us this time and they loved the place too!
