Din Yang's Nursery Concert in Hope Community Kindergarten

After months of practices and rehearsals, the actual day of Din Yang's Kindergarten Concert was finally held today on the 16th of October 2014.

 

 

It happens that its PSLE marking day so Zhi Yu was able to attend this concert together with us!

 

 

Everything went smoothly, albeit Din Yang almost dropped one of his shoes during his dance! Luckily, he was very compose and managed to finishes the dance well. ^_^

 

 

 

As you can see from the above photos, Din Yang had thoroughly enjoyed himself and had great fun performing in front of all the parents.

Okto Birthday Surprise (Din Yang)

Din Yang`s 4th Birthday Bash

We celebrated DY birthday this year at Downtown East as per the birthday boy request.

We checked-in on 28 February and checked-out on 2 March.

Gong Gong and Po Po stayed with us for the first night.

We went to the nearby beach for a stroll in the morning as the Wild Wild Wet Park was not opened yet.

We went into the park at 10a.m. sharp! The kids were super excited but unfortunately the sun was super sunny too!

The kids came out of the park at around 2p.m. as the sun was too strong to play. They went back after DY's nap and played till almost 7p.m.!

We had BBQ at the chalet that night and invited our other family members to celebrate with us.

Din Yang Birthday Party @ School

We celebrated Din Yang's birthday at his kindergarten today.

 

I baked a fresh fruit sponge cake for Din Yang and upon his request, puts loads of blueberries and strawberries in the cake!

DY even suggested that I put some hair gel on his hair to make him handsome! ^_^

DY First Day of Nursery

Today is the DAY!

DY woke up very early today as he is very excited to go to school.

However, upon reaching his classroom, DY looked significantly insecure and wanted us to stay beside him. After much self control, he finally broke into tears! :(

I never thought that DY would cry on the first day of school, reason being, (1) he is familiar with Hope kindergarten, (2) he is always very daring, and (3) ZY (the shy one) never cried in TOThouse..

But I'm totally WRONG! DY cried not 1 day but for the first 5 days of school!! Hiaz..

Din Yang Getting Ready For Kindergarten

 

Din Yang will be attending Hope Community Kindergarten next year. Today, we brought him to his Jie Jie's school to register and buy school uniform. He is used to going to this school as I always brought him with me when I was fetching ZY, so hopefully, DY can adapt to the school easily.

We made a trip to the Central Fire Station so that Din Yang can see his favourite fireman in action!

However, MW was not able to take leave from his work, hence we went to Toa Payoh's Swenson Restaurant for a little birthday celebration during MW's lunch hour.

For the record, DY is now 11.9kg, and 86.5cm.

He can now convey his thinking to us via short sentences and is quite stubborn at times. For example, when I asked him to keep his toys, he will "act blur" and walk about without laying his fingers on the toys. It is only when I threatened him with a cane when he finally move his fingers and keep a few toys. ZY and DY usually plays well together until DY starts to disobey ZY and ZY will start to yell at him and that's when DY will be in a "destroy mode". Sometimes, he is so uncontrollable that I fear to bring him outside. Hopefully, as he grow older, he learns to control himself and will be more manageable.

DY favourite toys is still BALL and he recently fell in love with cars too! He is still not toilet train but he will tell me he wants to pee at times. He has a good appetite and loves to eat vegetables, fruits and fishball. Unlike ZY, I am more relax with DY and allows him to eat outside food when we are out.

DIn Yang's Pre-Birthday Celebration

We celebrated DY's 2nd birthday today among friends and family, 6 days ahead of his actual birthday.

Due to our busy schedule, the party started at about 4p.m. with a delicious high-tea spread.

As usual, my friends of almost 20 years came with their loving family to celebrate the day with us.

I've ordered a "Football Cake" for DY as its his favourite toy.

ZY was more eager to open the presents than the birthday boy. But I insisted that DY should have the privilege of opening his own presents while Jie Jie assisted him.
