We took the Crystal Cable Car to Ngong Ping Village to see the World Biggest Outdoor Bronze Buddha. It was quite an experience, sitting inside a glass-bottomed cabin several hundreds feet above the ground. The queue to the crystal cabin was shorter than the standard cabin, and we managed to board on one after a fairly short queue.
This was the first time, my father, who has acrophobia, ever took a cable car. At first, MW and I were afraid that he would refuse to take on the ride, but surprising, he was very steady and said "OK, no problem!" ^_^
The three beauties...hehehe
Zhi Yu and Din Yang had a great time posing for the camera inside the crystal cabin!
After a 20 minutes ride, we finally reached the top.
Soft and silky beancurd but not much bean taste..
We climbed up the 200 plus steps to the top of the stairs while my dad and MIL stayed at the bottom.
Upon reaching the top, cool breeze and spectacular view awaited us.
We had our lunch at the vegetarian canteen at the Po Lin Monastery. We were lucky as there was a sudden downpour after we completed our praying. Can't imagine what would have happened if it rained while we were climbing the stairs! Amitabha!
