Korea (21 Oct 2009) - Jeju Island

After a good night rest, we woke up today at 7a.m. after our morning call and had our Abalone Porridge breakfast in a restaurant near Yongduam Rock or "Dragon Head Rock". (you can find the Abalone Porridge pic in my last post, which by the way looks and taste more like tiny squid than anything near abalone!)

We then proceed to Seongsan Sunrise Peak. Maybe it's because of waking up early, ZY started to become cranky and refused to climb after a few steps. You can see her in actions in the following photos.

View from the top.

ZY finally fell asleep in the coach while the others went on with the ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) rides. The rides looked fun and exciting but as I'm already 5 months pregnant, I did not take the ride, sianz.. ZY woke up just before we left and managed to take a very short ride with daddy driving, however, she was not very keen on it.

We then went to the Jeju Folk Village which is also the filming site of the Korean Drama, "Dae Jang Geum".

Next, we proceeded to the Teddy Bear Museum where it showcase a wide range of teddy bear including their most expensive Louis Vuitton Bear.

Our dinner for the day was non other than the famous and yummlicious Ginseng Chicken!! The photo did not do justice to the dish, trust me, IT'S GOOD!!

Korea (20 Oct 2009) - Seoul

Arrived at the early hours at about 4.30a.m. Did not sleep at all during the whole flight and ZY only managed to fall asleep for about 2.5 hrs. After taking our breakfast, we left Incheon Airport at about 7a.m. Managed to drift off to sleep with the help of the moving coach :D

Picture taken in the coach. Beautiful sunrise.

On the way to Nami Island, the filming site of "Winter Sonata".

This island, situated at the Northeastern side of Seoul is super cold at about 10 degree celsius, we were totally caught off-handed and was not prepared at all!

Umbrellas to "catch our dreams"...so romantic hor.

This toilet has bookselves with real books on it! ZY kept on mentioning, "This toilet is so special!"

After taking our BBQ chicken lunch, we headed off to Changdeok Palace. This palace was once a zoo during Japanese Occupations but was later restored back to its original state. Did not take many pictures there as I'm dead tired...

Had an early dinner as we still need to take a domestic flight to Jeju Island tonight.

This was what we had for dinner, The Imperial Meal. (Its so-so only..)

Korea (19 Oct 2009) - Singapore Changi Airport

We were so excited as this was our first real trip oversea with ZY. Luckily, my mum, brother and mother-in-law decided to join us so that they could also help us to look after ZY, hehehe...

We reached the airport at 7.30p.m. for our Asiana Airlines flight to Seoul at 9.20p.m.

ZY loved the in-flight entertainment especially the provided pillows, hahaha... She had chicken and mashed potatoes for super but since its already 9 plus, I did not feed her much.

As the flight was not very full, we managed to find a row of empty seats hence ZY was able to lie down fully to sleep. However maybe because of the circulated air in the cabin, ZY kept on sneezing throughout the whole flight hence she can't really fall asleep until around 1a.m., hiaz..

N2 Registration

MW took leave today as we need to go to ZY's school, Hope Community Kindergarten, for registration and buying uniform. We chose this school because it has quite a good reputation in Sembawang and is recommended to us by ZY's playgroup teachers. This school is about 10-15 minutes walking distance from our house hence this is another plus point too.

We have enrolled ZY in the morning session (which MW had sacrificed his beauty sleep to secure) and the name of her class is LOVE. There will be two teachers in a class of 20 children, which are really hope that the teachers can cope!

Anyway, these are the pics we have taken today. It's ZY first visit to the school.

Trying out the new uniform. Kiasu mum bought the large size as the medium size is just nice for now.

Reading at the kids corner while mummy & daddy are doing the paperwork.

ZY loves the toilets as it has mini size toilet bowl and basins.

Boy Or Girl?

Went for a detailed scanning yesterday since I'm 20 week pregnant. The sonographer asked us if we wanted to know the gender of the baby. Of course, "Yes!" In fact, our whole family and some of MW's colleagues are all very eager to know. Frankily speaking, I do feel some pressure since both our parents and even MW has indicated that they would prefer the baby to be a boy. I've always wanted a girl and so I'm extremely happy when I found out that I'm pregnant with ZY. Similarly, I hoped that MW will also be able to get his wish fulfilled by having a son this time.

So, after saying so much, you may ask, "Is the baby a boy or a girl?"

Yes, MW finally got his wish, ZY is going to have a little brother. ^_^

In fact, ZY is a bit disappointed as she had pinned for a sister so that she can share her clothes and masak masak. When my mum told her that she is going to have a little brother, she promptly corrected her by saying, "NO! I'm going to have a sister!" Luckily, after some explaining and reasoning, she finally accepted it .(I hoped..)

So here it is, the scan of the "little brother". @^_^@ (This is the aerial view of the buttock.)

贝贝 (Bay Bay)

ZY has been very excited ever since we told her that mummy is going to have another baby. I told her that the baby is inside mummy's tummy and will only be out after ZY's 4 years old birthday. One day, we asked ZY what nickname we should give to the baby and after some serious thinking, ZY shouted, "BAY BAY!" Ahem... I think she means 贝贝, so from that day onwards, we have been calling the baby 贝贝.

Even though ZY is only 3 years old, she seems to understand the fact that even though the baby is inside my tummy, the baby is able to listen to what she has to say outside. Hence, ZY will very often hug my tummy and talk to the baby.

She'll say things like,
"贝贝, what are you doing?"
" 贝贝, you cannot be naughty ok?"
" 贝贝, 乖乖, 不要哭."
" Good night, 贝贝."
and then hugged my tummy so tightly that even 贝贝 protested by moving around in my tummy! ^_^"
