Today, we went to Macau via Turbojet, departuring at 9.30a.m.
The ferry set sailed at about 9.45a.m. but needed to turn back to the ferry terminal as one passenger had accidentally took the wrong ferry! What is the odd of this happening! Imagine the whole ferry with about 200 plus passengers had to be delayed due to one passenger's fault! One female Hongkee made a scene by shouting quite loudly at the cabin crew as she also find it ridiculous that such thing could happen. After this episode, we safely reached Macau albeit 45 minutes later than scheduled.
Our first stop! The Venetian Hotel, the biggest casino in the world! After leaving the parents in their "playground", we went in search of the legendary Lord Stow's Portugese Egg Tarts!
This lady gondolier, Jaimie is so sweet and offered to take a photo with the kids. Simply love her interaction with the kids!
Saw Charlie Chaplin and An Lady in Masquerade costume on our way to Lord Stow.
Finally found it after walking quite a distance. It does not disappoint us! IT WAS SO DELICIOUS!! Creamy and warm on the inside, flaky on the outside... Yum Yum..
We took the free shuttle bus back to the ferry terminal and took their local bus to Senado Square and The Ruin Of St Paul at Macau City. This is such a beautiful place with unique and grand architectural buildings.
We bought many traditional almond pastry and souvenirs from Macau. It was a fun and interesting day trip to Macau although it was a bit rush.
PS. Mingwei, MW's mum & my mum won about HKD$3500 altogether at the casino in less than 1 hour!! Lucky, Lucky!
