We went to my mother's hometown, Kluang, Malaysia last weekend as it was my maternal grandmother's 90th birthday. We last visited her about two years ago hence she has never seen DY before. We intend to give her a surprise hence she had no idea that we were coming! ^_^
ZY had been on a railway train on her last visit two years ago and she still remembered the experience. She really look forward to this trip and insisted on sleeping much earlier than usual the night before. We took the early morning, 7.40 a.m. train and was due to arrive at Kluang at about 10.30a.m. However, the Sultan of Johor happened to be travelling on another train too on this day so we were delayed for about 1.5 hours due to His Majesty's trip...Hiaz

The birthday girl, my grandma, with my two babies.
ZY and DY becomes instant "celebrities"We stayed at my auntie's house. In the evening, we would take ZY out for a stroll around the neighbourhood. ZY was surprised to see many vegetables and fruits grown right outside of many people house.
Some of the delicacies we feasted on this trip. Sedap!!
Managed to squeeze in some shopping time at the newly opened Kluang Mall. Bought some books published by Pelangi for ZY as it's much cheaper here in Malaysia.
We also went to Gunang Lambak on the last morning in Kluang. Good to breathe in the fresh air and had a short walk up the hill.
Exercise with a view?
In the railway station, waiting for our train to go back to Singapore, which was again delayed due to His Majesty's train...Zzzzz

Looks like a good relaxing trip. DY looks so big already! How did you manage to breastfeed him outside?
Nowadays my Wendy gets so distracted and keeps latching on and off during the little weekend time I spend with her at home... *sighz*
Many relatives wanted to carry DY so in a way, I can relax a bit ^_^
DY will also latch on/off my breast often now, he don't even allow me to talk when bf him! So nowaday, I'll only feed him when he is really hungry, only then will he latch on for a longer time.
A short kampong getaway is so enjoyable!
Nice family vacation
