We always heard from friends that the buffet spread at Shangri-la Hotel's "The Line" restaurant is very good but we never actually been there before. The reasons being I'm a small eater who prefer to eat small meals frequently and I don't really like seafood, hence I don't think its worth it for me to spend $100 plus for a seafood buffet at The Line's Marine Harvest Night.
However, since MW has requested to eat Snow Crab and Oysters for his birthday celebration and most importantly, I've chanced upon a
39% discount for Shangri-la Hotel's group of restaurants, I decided to make a reservation to give it a try and to fulfill MW's wish at the same time. ^_^
We reached the hotel slightly early so we walked around the building taking pictures like some tourists, hehehe!
The Spread
The antipastas and desserts.
Mango crepe and drunken prawns.
The drunken prawns is one of my favourite as the prawns are really very fresh with a crunchy bite to it.
To say that ZY was excited to see these rows of gummies is an understatement. She was practically eyeing them for the whole night! Too bad she is still having slight coughing and phglem so I only allow her to eat one piece of her choice. Clever girl chose the gummy in the shape of snake (the biggest lah).
What can I say.
ZY has sweet tooth just like her mommy! ^_^
When ZY saw this nonya kueh, she called them colorful cake and insisted on trying it.
By the way, ZY found a part-time job at the restaurant, helping other patrons dipping their marshmallow in the chocolate fountain! She waited beside the counter (which happened to be beside our table) for anyone who wanted to dip their marshmallow and offered to help them. So cute!

The total bill for the night is $126 after discount. Not too bad considering they have free flow of red and white wines. However, they don't have a wide variety of desserts. They don't even have fresh strawberry for the chocolate fondue! I would have thought that it is the basic for the price they charged? Or am I asking too much?
