Genting Highlands (7-9 March 2012)

We promised to take ZY to Genting Highlands after DY turns two as we were hoping that DY will be more manageable when he is older. However, as the day approaches, DY is still the same old active toddler =_=" But a promise is a promise, ZY persistent reminder and counting down to the day DY turns two, gave us no choice but to book a coach at the last hour.

ZY was so looking forward to the day that she felt slightly under the weather on the day before we set off due to over-excitement! Luckily, she recovered after resting and was active again on the second day of the trip.

DY on the other hand, was super excited but finally fell asleep for 2 hours during the journey.

First ride of the day and DY's first ride ever in Genting. See DY's happy face!

As it was a weekday, there was no need to queue at all, hence after each round, DY will immediately run to another car of his choice and waited patiently for it to move. ^_^

This was DY's second time on the carousel, the first being in Universal Studio, which I don't think he remembered much. He was a bit insecure at first and held on very tightly to MW's jacket but quickly learns to relax and enjoyed the ride.

It was raining very heavily on the first night and the temperature went down to 15 degree celcius, the lowest so far for me in Genting. The kids continued their rides after dinner till 10p.m. and fell asleep immediately after drinking their milk.

Early in the morning, rise and shine. The kids were eagerly anticipating for a day of fun rides both at the Outdoor and Indoor Theme Park.

All set and ready to go...

Waiting patiently for the ride to start at 10a.m. ...

till it started to drizzle and our plan to the Outdoor Theme Park was ruined! The wet fog continued even after our lunch so we decided to take some photographs instead.

The wind was strong and the fog was thick. See the entrance staffs wearing raincoats?

The sky was suddenly cleared about 2 plus after the kids nap so we headed to the Outdoor Theme Park.

As expected, DY loves these rides and we went around a few times before the nasty wet fog came again..this time he brought his equally nasty cousin - The Rain...

Not to be easily beaten, we went indoor and continued to have a fun time!

Another first for DY - Junior Bumper Car!

ZY loves to step on the pedal and "drive" mummy around. ^_^

Last 10 minutes before the theme park closed, the sky was cleared again!!! What a joke!! We stayed around to take some last minute photographs before bidding goodbye to the park. It's a waste that ZY did not take any of the thrill rides (Flying Dragon, Top Spinner) as planned but its ok, WE WILL BE BACK! (Ah Mah still has some unused GP) ^_^

Maybe ZY thinks that our "figures" looks better than our "faces"???

Din Yang is 2!

Din Yang is 2 today!!

However, MW was not able to take leave from his work, hence we went to Toa Payoh's Swenson Restaurant for a little birthday celebration during MW's lunch hour.

For the record, DY is now 11.9kg, and 86.5cm.

He can now convey his thinking to us via short sentences and is quite stubborn at times. For example, when I asked him to keep his toys, he will "act blur" and walk about without laying his fingers on the toys. It is only when I threatened him with a cane when he finally move his fingers and keep a few toys. ZY and DY usually plays well together until DY starts to disobey ZY and ZY will start to yell at him and that's when DY will be in a "destroy mode". Sometimes, he is so uncontrollable that I fear to bring him outside. Hopefully, as he grow older, he learns to control himself and will be more manageable.

DY favourite toys is still BALL and he recently fell in love with cars too! He is still not toilet train but he will tell me he wants to pee at times. He has a good appetite and loves to eat vegetables, fruits and fishball. Unlike ZY, I am more relax with DY and allows him to eat outside food when we are out.
