Staycation @ Swissotel Merchant Court

We were supposed to check in early June but to due to other family celebrations, we postponed it till the last week of the June holiday. ZY was looking forward to this short break which we almost could not make it as DY was having high fever after his MMRV vaccination.

We checked in at about 1 p.m. but our room is not ready yet. Hence, we brought the kids for a dip in the pool instead. Initially, DY was a bit afraid of the water and prefered to play by the side of the pool.

DY quickly warmed up and started to splash water and making funny faces at the camera.

ZY as usual, was afraid of the slide initially but quickly warmed up too!

 DY saw the fun that his sister was having and thought that he should give it a try. In fact, he was having so much fun sliding down the pool slide that he was like a Duracell Bunny, sliding down again and again...

Kluang Trip

During the June holiday, we brought ZY and DY to visit my maternal grandma in Kluang, Malaysia. It was my grandma's 91st birthday and we seized the opportunity to bring the kids back to my mother's hometown. My grandma dotes on the kids and was so happy to be able to see them up close rather than the impersonal "webcam meeting".

We also revisited Gunang Lambak in the morning for a nature walk and breathe of fresh air!

We took the train back to Singapore but as usual the very unreliable train was delayed for 2 hours =,=
