A Tired Girl

Recently, ZY has been refusing to take her daily nap stating reasons like "she's not tired" or "she wants to play with her brother" etc.. Everytime around her napping time, she will try her best to convince me that she don't need to take a nap and if I refuse, she'll starts to weep and make a fuss. Sometimes, especially during the weekend when she wakes up later in the morning, I may acede to her request. But I usually ends up regretting it as ZY will become cranky around late evening time.

Yesterday, as usual, she promised to behave herself and even goes to the extend of asking me to spank her if she starts to whine or make a fuss due to lack of sleep. So I agreed.

I must say she did behave quite well...and she must be trying her best to keep her eyes open...

..as she fell asleep while she was eating her dinner and in this position... ^_^"

Ballet Class

ZY attended her first ballet class last week at our nearby CC. Hopefully, she will have fun and able to develop grace, poise and balance in her gesture and movement. Initially, I'm thinking of enrolling her to the Jazz Ballet but I think it's more important for her to learn basic ballet first before venturing to others.

DY @ 10-months old

My Happy Boy!

DY is 10 months old today and in another two more months, we will be celebrating his one year old birthday! Gosh, times really flashes by quickly!

Nowaday, DY loves to explore. One moment he is playing his toys in the room and before you know it, he will be heading to the toilet ( a restricted zone for him and he knows it!)

He loves to play with his sister and enjoys playing hide-and-seek with his daddy. Yes, he will crawl all around our house searching for his daddy and smiles happily when he finds him :)

DY is also able to convey his 'wants' to us by pointing with his fingers and saying 'ehh'. He loves to dance along with music and will shake his head in time with the beats. He has also learned how to wave goodbye and makes funny faces at strangers, often making them laugh! DY can walk quite well by himself while holding on to a chair or his walker. He has 2 upper and 2 lower teeth now and will occasionally bite me on my shoulder, pouting when I scold him.

DY's weight has remains stagnant at 9.1kg and his height still hovers at around 74cm. I'm wondering is it normal? His appetite is good but seems that he is drinking less milk now while taking more semi- solid food. Will monitor closely and if his weight and height still remains the same next month, I'll check with the doctor then.

For the record, ZY is now 17.1kg and 110.5cm tall.

Bye Bye 2010!!

2010 has been a challenging year for our family, first being DY arriving but diagnosed with G6PD Deficient and then ZY's hospitalization. It had disrupted our plans and once again shown us the importance of ones health. It's a great blessing and not an entitlement to be healthy and be able to enjoy life.

Thanks to the support of our family members, all is back on track now and we can look back and be thankful for what we have.

MW and I did not manage to go to Bangkok this year as plan but hopefully we'll be able to do so by mid next year :)

For the year 2011, my only resolution or should I say wish, is good health for my whole family and to spend more time together with them. Happiness and health, two most important things in life.
